Chestene is Hannah Montana

Scrapbook Saturday

Chestene is Hannah Montana

I'm back after missing 2 Scrapbook Saturdays! Sorry guys, I was too busy with the little lady's 'concert' preparations. :-)

This is one of the layouts I prepared that was later printed in large format on tarpaulin, for her stage backdrop. I used again the graphic elements by
Pimp Your Scrapbook; the same ones I utilized before in making Good Girl in Glitters, as well as her concert ticket invite.

So what do you think of my little Hannah Montana? Is she close enough?
^^,

The Secret to Victory Hair

I’ve always believed that a lady need not be a perfect 10 to be sexy and beautiful. It all depends on how one exudes and carries the desired look.

While it is a fact that there are a lot of pretty women who don’t get noticed and end up like wall flowers on display, on the other hand, we wonder in disbelief why there are regular looking ones who get wooed by a horde of admirers.

We secretly wish to discover what kind of lucky charm they possess or how in the world they achieved it.
Well, these ladies will spoil the mystery by saying that there is actually no secret.

You just have to feel it, to become it!
I think this is one of the many wonders brought about by believing in oneself.

If others need some skimpy outfit to achieve Victory Hair, I only need to show my wit to spark curiosity from sensible guys. I want to let them know that I’m someone interesting enough to be stuck in an island with. :-) After all, I find the brain really sexy, so why not capitalize on it? Or maybe, I just have to do the tried and tested move of running my fingers through my hair and messing it up a bit to get that effortlessly uber sexy look in an instant.

In the meantime, I still need to brush up more on my flirting skills. Please join me in playing Extreme Style by VO5's Ultimate Flirting Championship online game which is so much fun! You can also share this cool game with your friends and be the Judge or the Flirter. It’s your choice.

Child Discipline, My Style

One look at my daughter and most people we meet are quick to judge that she is a spoiled brat. I’m talking about plain first impression here - just an observation of her innate bubbliness and self confidence.

She looks like a kid who gets anything on a whim, with just a whine or a snap of her little fingers. Well, that is not even close to who she really is.

So English is her first language, which makes her look like a snob to some kids her age who speak the native tongue; she looks like a Barbie doll when she sports fashionable clothes often mistaken as expensive and branded, which were actually just put together from the nice pieces I chance upon in clothing store sales; she hummed her first song, "Canon in D" by Pachelbel, when she was a year old and sang her first full song,“You”, by Karen Carpenter when she was barely 2 years old, no wonder she loves to perform in front of a crowd without having to push her to do so; she is inquisitive, mingles well with adults and can carry a sensible conversation; she is also smart, loving, charming, funny - every parent’s dream daughter. But above everything that she is, I’m lucky that she grew up to be very down-to-earth and nowhere near a brat.

Young and gifted as she is, I always tell her to remember these words: “You can be the best that you can be, but in this world, you cannot have everything you want.” My Dad taught me that early in life.

The BMX bike was the latest craze when I was young and almost all of my friends already got theirs from their parents. So my sister and I were crying our eyes out to have our own, but Dad stood firm and did not give in. He felt it was too early for us to have it. I’ll never forget what he said to us then:

"When you ask God for something, and it doesn't come, there are 2 reasons why: 1. It's not yet time for you to have it, but it will come in His own time and schedule, or, 2. He doesn't want you to have it because it will do you no good."

We never questioned his decision from then on; and true enough, we got the bike at a later time as a gift from a family friend.

That’s exactly what I’m teaching my daughter now - to understand why there are things that she cannot have. Be it a new toy, a circumstance, a wish that she so desires, I ask her to be patient; for if it is meant to be hers, it will come in its own perfect time.

I’m glad that now, I don’t need the rod or belt to discipline my child. When she was younger, she needed a spank or two and a shout with my matching engorged eyes look, to send the message that she’s doing something wrong. But as she grew older, I discovered that words are far more powerful to instill lessons meant to be remembered for life.

Forgive me if I don’t fully believe in the saying, “Spare the rod, spoil the child.”

Yes, I had my fair share of belt whacks on the behind from my Mom when I was young, and I turned out just fine. That’s the popular mode of discipline being practiced before, but nowadays kids are different; they have become incredibly smart, mature and receptive. I believe that talking to them and explaining why a certain deed is wrong is better than inflicting physical pain to let them remember out of fear, the repercussion of their wrongdoings.

I try to keep an open communication with the little lady and constantly assure her that she can tell me anything – both the good and the bad. I don’t want her to keep secrets out of fear of punishment or rejection. In fact, between the two of us, we have a "No Secret Policy." :)

She still gets Mommy's tiger look; the occasional high pitch voice calling her name in full; the timeout and the silent corner when she gets out of control.

But it is best that she knows that no matter what, Mommy will always be here to love and understand her unconditionally. I think that's an important truth she needs to remember, most of all.

When I Miss Someone…

We get hit by this virus once in a while.
Nobody gets spared; so we all get our share of melancholia and inexplicable longing over someone or something.

Fair enough?

While I lay down sick in my bed, my body was able to get the overdue rest it needed. I can almost hear it saying “Hey, slow down, relax and take a break, will ya?!”

It would have been much better if it came from someone I care deeply about. It would have given a warmer feeling if it came from another human being who cares back.

So I lay there, with my eyes closed, having my mandatory bed rest, but my mind is fully awake.

And then it hit me.

I was given the chance to remember people I never realized I miss a lot.
I was too preoccupied that I lost the thought for a while.

Never mind if those people hurt you in the past. Never mind if they broke their promises. Never mind if they missed to respond to your messages. Never mind if they are too busy to show they care. Never mind if they failed you. Never mind if they took you for granted. Never mind if they broke your heart into smithereens.
..

At this point, you don’t mind. Because all feelings of disappointment dissipate into thin air the moment we miss someone. Shortcomings get instantly erased.
For a while, we become defenseless and vulnerable.

If you have a forgiving heart just like mine, who don’t keep a record of wrongs for too long, those people are in luck - they get prayers instead of curses; they get a hug instead of a punch in the face when I do see them (yes, I punch when I get really angry! ;-P).

I’ve always conditioned myself not to linger over unhappy thoughts and to focus on the good, if not, great things that I’m blessed with. Because whenever I think of the good, it always compensates for whatever it is that's missing in my life. Besides, I trust that what I don’t have now will be given in God’s perfect time, so why fret?

It’s no big secret; but basically, that frame of mind helps me get through.

When I think of the people I miss, it always brings a smile, a chuckle and a few tears rolling down my cheeks. They have been, after all, once and will always be a part of me.

What do you do when you miss someone?

Do I Give You “The Look?”

Some say that I effortlessly give “The Look”. How? I’m not quite sure. But according to my ex, he loves it when I just randomly run my fingers through my hair instead of brushing to fix it. It creates a look that he finds very sexy. Well, maybe for him and some other guys, that is my Victory Hair.

I never thought I send it out unconsciously, though. Well maybe, it transmits the message best when acted naturally in response to a certain stimulus, without really trying hard.

I am imagining my look to be more like the one in the photo. Parted lips with a slight smile just enough to reveal the dimple on my left cheek, eyes piercing straight through the victim's eyes (lol!), with my right eyebrow sporting an intimidating arch that can make any guy’s knees go wobbly.

Anyways, I find myself attracted to guys who don't get easily intimidated by anything or anyone. They need not be drop-dead gorgeous; guys who are self confident and can carry a sensible conversation while making me laugh on the side, appeal to me best.

Flirting comes in a lot of forms and it’s amazing how some people excel in it. Personally, I need to brush up on my flirting skills so I don’t end up with guys running in the opposite direction when I give them “The Look”.

If you wish to test your own flirting skill, have some fun and play the Extreme Style by VO5’s Ultimate Flirting Championship live, post it in your blog or social pages and share it with your friends!

The Perfect Time to Get Sick

Would you believe me if I told you I'm sick right now?

Nah. You might say. I've been blogging like crazy, so how come? Well, as the old adage goes, "If there's a will, there's always a way".

Some of my posts have been scheduled for publishing pretty much in advance. As with the opps, I try to organize my thoughts first while having my mandatory bed rest, then I write them in doctor's writing (read: hardly readable) and then log in for a few minutes to type and post.

Miss-oh-so-positive me is still thankful that I got sick after the little lady's party. The thing is, a lot of opps are due for posting. It's funny how they got all reserved at this particular time. Talk about perfect timing, huh! But since I don't want to waste any opportunity, I still do what I can manage. I'm not Super Girl for nothing. ;-P

Anyways, the trip from my bed to the computer is just a few steps away. So the effort just really goes to the typing part, as my eyes are quite a little heavy.

No worries, though as I'm loading on a lot of Vitamin C - the alkaline kind that can be taken on an empty stomach. Hopefully I feel much better later or tomorrow so I can get back to work.

By the way, I miss you. Yes, YOU! Please leave a comment. It will make me feel much better. :)

Who's Going to Host it?

I’ve been contemplating lately on getting my own unique dot com; something I can really call my own. It’s been a few months since I started blogging and I know in the long run I will have to join the bandwagon and get what others consider a necessity for every blogger who plans to be in the industry for a long time – my own domain.

Now, the big question is who’s going to host it? I’ve heard horror stories about hosting services that are cheap and yet unreliable. I don’t want to end up messing my venture into blogging independence and would appreciate any help from the experts.

In this case, I find sites like Web Hosting Rating particularly beneficial in helping newbies like me who need real reviews and hosting rating based on customer satisfaction, affordability, reliability, uptime and technical support to help me discern which hosting is best suited to my needs. Moreover, they have helpful articles that guide and educate its readers on technical jargons and processes, making them easier to comprehend.

If you are looking for a good web hosting service, it's worth checking out. Since I plan to get mine in the near future, it's never too early to do a little window shopping through advanced reading now. :)

BeGoogled!

We all know how it feels when somebody from another part of the globe somewhere, lands on our page by searching for keywords that are sometimes not even related to the post or article itself.

Of course, we all share that familiar giddy feeling especially on the first few hits. It makes us feel so “there” – a part of the World Wide Web. True?

Allow me to do a little revival here. I noticed that the top 5 posts that get the most hits in this blog are the following:

The Day I Painted My Nails Red… Again This gets the most article and image hits due to searches made for "red nails". Fetish? Take a peek why...

The Art of Letting Go - By searching for songs in the album, some actually go back to this post just to hear the songs I've uploaded on imeem.

An Itchy StoryI guess more people are being victimized by the notorious “Higad”, huh! (Oh, this gets me feeling a little itchy again!)

Kissable Japanese Me / Arigato Gozaimasu! -
This is just a tag, but there are those who search for "kissable Japanese", and thus found their way here.

Extreme Ezine's Logo Design Contest Entry - One of the first contests I joined and enjoyed. :)

How about you? Which posts in your blog get beGoogled the most? :)

Trace that Prank Caller

I’m no celebrity, but I also have my share of annoying prank callers. My initial response to this occasional nuisance is to dismiss and just forget about them. But sometimes, it’s unbelievable that there are people who really go to great lengths just to inconvenience someone.

It’s a relief that a service that offers reverse phone lookup - a good way to trace the caller’s name and address right away, is available to trace both telephone and mobile phone numbers in the United States and Canada. These reverse phone book lookups are guaranteed 100% confidential, so nobody gets notified that their number is being traced.

So ‘prank’, want to try my number? :)

Chestene as Dora ~ 3rd Birthday Invite

Organizing a Kiddie Party

My sister and I love organizing children’s parties. I think it was mostly because we enjoyed our own birthday parties when we were younger. Mom and Dad threw those parties for us, and we just enjoyed whatever it is that they prepared for us every year.

Parties are generic, back then - just the usual home-cooked food, balloons, games, cake and clowns. But today it has evolved into something more imaginative, exciting, creative and of course - expensive, to say the least.

There are a lot of entertainment and extras available now that can be incorporated in a children
s party: inflatable rides and slides, carnival shows (magic, mime, stilt walkers, jugglers, fire eaters (oh, yeah!), animal show/petting zoo, etc.), game booths, giant cakes, mascots, food carts and balloon sculptures, to name a few.

I have observed that children’s parties are well-celebrated here in the Philippines. In fact, the rich and some celebrities spend up to a million pesos for their kids’ parties and give out real Dalmatian dogs as party giveaways.

Well, even if I had the money, I don’t think I’d go that far. I love the challenge of having to create something nice with limited resources and a wild imagination (Hmm. Okay, maybe I'll splurge a bit when I get that kind of money ;-).

Back to the little lady’s 7th Rockstar Birthday Party, I thought I’d give you a glimpse of her previous birthdays first before I blog more about the latest.

The photo above is her 3rd birthday invite as Dora the Explorer (It's originally in the form of a PowerPoint presentation). Below is her 4th Birthday invite where I made her look like all the princesses. I did this during my early Photoshop days.

Chestene as the Disney Princesses ~ 4th Birthday Invite

Your Monthly Miracle Can Save Lives

C_elle_kit_image

Back in the old days, people live simpler lives and pass away due to simpler diseases if not, natural causes. That’s the normal life cycle during the no preservatives backward days of our ancestors.

Life today has become different and downright complex with the kind of environment we now live in, coupled with modern lifestyle activities. This combination often translates to modern illnesses that are increasingly difficult to cure.

Thanks to the wonder of C'elle and its revolutionary stem cell technology, it has now been discovered that what we used to think of as unclean blood during our monthly period, actually contains potentially life-saving stem cells; and women can collect these stem cells in a safe, non-invasive and easy manner to undergo processing, isolation and cryo-preservation in a state-of-the-art laboratory later on. As they say, it's all About the Science.

I’m sure everyone would agree that it is worthy to try innovative ways to prevent or cure major diseases like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, MS, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. It is also valuable to invest in health care now, for no amount of money is too much if it can save your life and that of your loved ones in the future.

Take advantage of C'elle's special promotional price of $499 only for a limited time. Purchase your kit online and save $200 now!

Chestene's Rockstar Invite

Obviously, I could not contain the excitement over what transpired last Saturday. I so need to blog the part 2 right away, or else I will forget some details.

Oh, my. I still can't believe that the
little lady has already reached the first step towards ladyhood. But before I wander further in my maternal sentimental journey, I'll share with you the activities I did in the preparation stage:

1. Choosing a theme
2. Choosing the date and venue
3. Designing and sending out invites
4. The guest list
5. Ordering the cake
6. Booking a host
7. Deciding on the program and kind of party entertainment
8. Decorating the venue
7. Preparing the loot bags
8. Designing and printing of backdrop
9. Putting together the celebrant's outfit
10. Buying candies and toys for the "pabitin" and game prizes
11. Burning CDs for party music

This is quite a long list and I'm sure I missed a thing or two here. This normally needs at least 2 months preparation, but I did it in less than a month due to other work, school and blog-related activities. Good thing my mom and sister are always within reach. We usually do some creative brainstorming whenever there's a party coming up, and delight in the ideas that we think of no matter how much work they entail.

Choosing a Party Theme, Date and Venue

The little lady chose the rockstar theme, so I made her the concert ticket invite. I used again the scrapbook elements from Pimp Your Scrapbook to create the rockstar effect. This was supposed to be my entry for last Saturday's Scrapbook Saturday, but I was too tired to post. Can I just antedate this, Dette? ;-P

We're lucky because her actual birth anniversary, August 23, fell on a Saturday so we reserved it right away with our chosen venue. We wanted a place with a cozy ambiance, where guests can also enjoy the food to their hearts' content so we chose the merienda (afternoon snack) eat-all-you-can buffet.

Everything seemed to be in place since the party's inception. Well, is it?
(To be continued...)

My Legacy to the Universe: Believe!

Social-spark-315x235

If I were to leave my message to the universe, this would definitely be my mankind motto:

“In order to achieve any dream, you have to first believe that you are capable of realizing it. The power of faith is immeasurable. Believe!”

In my own belief, opinion and experience, every aspiration starts to happen the moment someone believes in it - believing that it can actually exist, believing it can be achieved and believing that someone can make it happen. Faith, just like the existence of God, as a supreme being, is too immense for the human mind to fathom.

In the current trying times, as we are continuously being plagued with trials that weaken our faith, it blurs our vision towards believing that the future still holds great promise. We should not let these tribulations get in the way of our aspirations no matter what; for with faith, hope springs eternal.

I would like to leave this legacy to mankind, should this world eventually heads to extinction. (Though I certainly hope not!)

You too, can leave your message to the universe! Just visit this link - Operation Immortality: Leave your mark. Save Humanity., don't forget to check out my message (Message ID 918) and leave your own mark.

All messages posted before the end of August this year will be recorded on the Immortality Drive, stored on the International Space Station and sent into space in October!
So what are you waiting for? Will you pass up the chance to be a part of this once in a lifetime event?

Back From My Unannounced Blog Leave - Part 1

Huh?

Oh yeah, I was on blog leave for like more than a week. I did not announce and make a fuss out of it because I know that:

1. You would not notice
or
2. If you did, I know you would understand. *hugsss* = )

Anyways, I did an awful lot the past week and I can't wait to spill each and every detail. In fact, I have so much to tell, that I don't even know where to start!

The big hint is that the little lady celebrated her 7th Rockstar birthday party last Saturday where she played Hannah Montana for a day. I've been running around getting things for her party, sending out invites, designing the backdrop and tags, organizing loot bags and game prizes, coordinating with the suppliers, losing sleep and losing more sleep over the whole putting-it-all-together thing.

It has always been this way ever since her 1st birthday. I never seem to get things done way in advance. Oh well, with me being a typical INTP, nothing is ever final because great ideas keep popping up in my head until the very last minute.

Hah. Let me catch my breath first before I draft this post's part 2. In the meantime, please stay tuned. ;-)

Look What I Made with Roxio!

It’s an open secret that I love taking pictures and capturing moments, not only whenever there are special occasions, but anytime the photographer in me emerges (which is way too often!).

The ever willing and favorite subject, of course, is my little lady. She’s only almost 7 years old and yet she has accumulated gigabytes of digital photos that could fill a computer’s entire hard disk storage.

I’m constantly thinking of ways on how to make something creative out of her photos other than having them printed. Good thing I discovered Roxio online - a very easy and fun way to create photo slideshows. The timing couldn’t be more perfect!

I tinkered with the little lady’s photos in the park that were taken after we attended a 1st birthday party in the park’s pavilion. I absolutely had to take photos of her with the fountain and the trees; she actually looks like a princess in the forest!

The slideshow only took a few minutes to make. All I did was to upload the photos, arrange them according to my preferred order, choose from a number of PhotoShow styles, personalize the caption (there’s also an option to add music, video and even stickers) and it’s ready for sharing! You can share your work via email, by posting in your blog or other social networking sites, have it on DVD or even broadcast it on TV! Yes, on live TV!

Cool, huh! It’s so user-friendly that even a child can do it. Check it out now and create your free slideshow today!

From Paper to Puter

Some find it too juvenile to write in a diary. I don’t. I believe nobody is too young or too old for this activity that actually empowers and inspires the writer in a lot of ways.

Sometimes it’s even better to tell the paper than a human being, personal stuff you’d never want to hear in the gossip circle. I also read somewhere before, that when you get really angry at someone, try to write your feelings down before you confront the person (or dig a hole in the ground and shout it all out!). And when you do see him/her afterwards, you will realize that you have already mellowed down, having placed the initial outburst and venom on paper. It’s a must try– yep, did it a loooot of times, and it really works!

The Paper to Puter title actually refers to the torn pages from the butterflies notebook. I don’t want to rewrite them again so I’ll just type them here instead:

“I've always felt a sense of security and comfort putting my thoughts on paper. Unloading what occupies the mind and heart, can be quite liberating. Also, the fact that the paper has no capacity to complain or whine over the whole drama, is a plus. Right now, I’d like to regard this conventional blogging as a venue where I put random ‘mature’ thoughts that I have in the here and now.

Though I still feel every inch of an 18-year old on the inside, the outside doesn’t quite follow, unfortunately, as it somewhat journeyed on its own to the inescapable aging-degenerating lane.

Lately, I’ve come quite used to the fact that I already get achy joints here and there when I walk for 10 hours in a mall, when I can do 12 hours before, without feeling tired and hungry. So my body is not what it used to be, thanks to gravity and free radicals (that we really get for free, literally– i.e. pollution). But I think what’s essential is that the state of mind stays young and positive and all else will follow. You may have streaks of gray hair, but it can look good on you if you carry it well.

It really depends on how one goes about something.
Talk about right approach. It makes a whole lot of difference.”

Turning Green

Mostly, during my idle time, I entertain myself by thinking about things that are sometimes out of this world. There are a lot of “what ifs” in the universe and it’s quite relaxing to escape reality once in a while.

I sure have thought about what kind of dish I would be if given the opportunity (okay). One time, I was also asked by a friend to do a tag where I needed to pretend to be a fruit for a minute (huh?). And just when I thought I’ve spent too much time thinking about loads of possibilities in this lifetime, another question comes in: What type of vegetable you would be and why? Hmm… let me see.

Since I love most vegetables, I’ll just pick a favorite – broccoli! What I love about this vegetable is that you can eat both its flowers and leaves, so almost nothing goes to waste. It’s not only very nutritious, but according to studies, it also contains unique substances that can prevent and fight Cancer - most especially Prostate Cancer. Great, huh! It would definitely be an honor to become a broccoli and be of service to mankind. ;-)

Speaking of vegetables, I don’t know if you’ve already seen this funny veggie family - the sproutwells being introduced in this video. If not, hit play to watch and find out for yourself why I think these vegetables rock! Please feel free to pass this link to your friends, so they too can share the fun. :)

Good Girl in Glitters

Scrapbook Saturday

Good Girl
Welcome to another Scrapbook Saturday!

I'm not feeling quite well this past few days, so I kinda rushed on this one. I used the little lady's 'good girl' photo here, and yes, that's actually my thigh she's resting her chin on. :-P I've always loved glitters and other sparkling stuff, they make anything flashy in an instant.

I need to get a little more rest now, I'll just save the chit chat for later. :) Have a splendid weekend, everyone!

The Best Gift Ever

I was tagged with this by Cherry a long time ago. So sorry for the delay, girl. Anyways, this story is too good to miss, so please read on!

*** Start Here ***

Rules:
1. Simply copy the inspirational story and in the end write down the lesson you have learned out from this.
2. Put your own blog name and link. Pass or tag this to your friends to inspire them.
3. Start copy from “Begin Copy” until “End Copy” to your blog.

The Best Gift Ever
A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.

Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man's name embossed in gold.

Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.

Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day.

Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.

He began to search through his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11,

"And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?"

As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words... PAID IN FULL.

How many times do we miss God's blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for...

PLEASE SEND THIS TO AT LEAST FIVE PEOPLE SO AS TO LET THIS GREAT LESSON FLOW AROUND.

Master List: (Add your name and link here) KCee, Pinay Jade, Ria, Hot Momma, Manilenya, Juancho, Cielo, Rachel, Brittany E, Chi, Tina, Mae, Paz

End Copy

Lesson Learned: Always be grateful for all that there is and all that is not.
Trust that you will be rewarded with the desires of your heart in God's perfect time.

I would like to pass this on to Dette, Lourdz, Nai, Sheila and Rieru.

Rainy Day Blues

Pink Rain
Rainy days. Oh, it’s that time of the year again.

Don’t you just love to curl up in bed, hide under the blanket, snuggle your favorite pillow with lights off and just the lamp turned on, while you try to concentrate on the dream you had the night before that you wish to have a part 2 of?

That’s the usual scenario for singles. But for the happily attached, just replace the pillow with your significant other and just act out the dream I was referring to, whatever that may be. ^^,

I love rainy days. Well, let me rephrase that. I ONLY love rainy days when I don’t have to go to work and can just linger in bed all day. But it can also leave me melancholic, as it lets me confront a certain feeling that hits me hard sometimes.

It’s a lazy, gloomy season and it is best spent alone, while contemplating and reminiscing. In my case, that is.

Forgive me for being too sentimental. It’s a part of me that I absolutely can do nothing about. So, sue me! ^^, These songs keep me company in times like this. They keep me warm when nothing or no one else can.

Hit PLAY and tell me which one you think is the best rainy day song. :)

Wherever You Are
~South Border~

I love to see the ocean’s beauty
and the moon that shines above
alone in the sand looking at the stars
wishing someday I will find true love
would it be nice to see the morning
with the one you love the most
would it be nice to say goodnight
to the one you hold so close to your heart,
to your heart…

CHORUS:
the wind that blows the dove
is the wind that blows my love
hope it'll find its way to you
wherever you are

I love to sit in fields of green
looking deeply through the sky
watching birds as they flap by
hoping someday faith will bring me true love
would it be nice to hold someone
so dear and near your heart
would it be nice to hear those words
I love you from the one that you love,
that you love…

Repeat CHORUS 2x

I’d love to see myself one day
in the arms of someone
who will share her life with me selflessly
someday, you will find your way to me....
ohhhh yeah yeah yeah yeah
yeah yeah yeaaaaah

the wind that blows the dove
is the wind that blows my love
hope it'll find its way to you
wherever you are

the wind that blows the dove
is the wind that blows my love
hope it'll find its way to you
wherever you are

wherever you... are

One Summer in Subic

Scrapbook Saturday

Summer in Subic
As I have mentioned before, I love taking photos of my little lady. I guess it's pretty obvious that she'll be gracing more of my Scrapbook Saturday projects, huh.

These photos were taken in Subic. The main photo shows how much she loves playing in the beach. I'm glad I was able to capture that moment. As always, I'm the one behind the camera, so definitely no photos of me in a swimsuit. ;-P
